THE BODY SHOP HISTORY Our story began in 1976. It began when our founder, Anita Roddick, opened a small green shop in Brighton with a belief in something revolutionary: that a business can be a force in the fight for good. We have never been an ordinary cosmetics company and with over 40 years of campaigning, change work and breaking industry standards in the beauty industry, we are still just as active and driven. Welcome to The Body Shop.
